Code: M26-L - Adam Wall Bracket - Large

This late 18th century design carved and gilt-wood wall bracket has a shaped and double moulded shelf and a tapered fan fluted body. The base is decorated with a lotus leaf collar above a leaf carved and seed pod finial. Available either as a single, or as pairs and in a choice of sizes.

Wall brackets have been a popular form of support for objects, busts, clocks or imported Chinese porcelain from the 17the century. Fashionable blue and white Chinese porcelain first arrived in England during the 1600s and by the end of the 17th century and well into the 18th was an indication of taste and wealth.
