Code: M20 - Adam Pier Table

This semi elliptical, gilt-wood marble top side table in the style of George III and the influence of Robert Adam has a fluted frieze punctuated with flower head paterae between carved mouldings. The turned and tapered legs are capped with acanthus leaves that are raised on turned feet with carved collars.

Elegant console tables, often with looking glasses en suite, satisfied the strict demands of interior designs by Robert Adam and the Neo-Classical. Adam paid great attention to every detail of his architecture and furnishing and frequently coordinated his design elements.
