Code: M19 - Adam Breakfront Side Table

In the manner of Robert Adam (1728 1792), this elegant side table has a breakfront marble top which sits above a moulded frieze decorated with ribbon tied swags, centred by a rectangular tablet carved with a classical urn hung with husks. The turned and tapered, fluted legs are headed by carved flower-head paterae and stand on turned carved feet.

The elements of decorative carving on this side table reflect the strong Neo-Classical style of Robert Adam. Adam's aim, in his own words was, to transfuse the beautiful spirit of antiquity with novelty and variety'. This table is a testament to that achievement.
